Free ACA Marketplace Help from a Licensed, Independent Broker
I’m Jennifer Pace, licensed Life & Health broker, and I’m proud to introduce JENSURANCE! By getting to know your needs and budget, I find health insurance policy options that are the best value for your specific circumstances. There’s never any cost for my services, and I’ll still be here for you after Open Enrollment to help with whatever support you need throughout the year.
Did you miss Open Enrollment (OEP)? You may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP).
SEPs are the only way you can change/enroll in Health Insurance Marketplace® plans outside of the OEP.
QLEs (Qualifying Life Events) are what make you eligible for a SEP and there are lots of them. Check out my blog about it: https://www.getjensurance.com/blog/part-3-3-sep-and-qle
If you think you may qualify for a SEP, please contact me or call the Marketplace Call Center at 800-318-2596.
Are you about to lose your insurance coverage…
…because of a change in employment? Are you turning 26 and losing coverage from your parents’ plan? Did you move and end up outside of your coverage’s service area? Has your income changed and now you’re no longer eligible for Medicaid?
All of these things and more can qualify you for a SEP but be aware: there are different time limits for different types of SEPs, many within 60 days of losing or expecting to lose coverage. You can read more about that in my blog, too: https://www.getjensurance.com/blog/part-3-3-sep-and-qle
No cost for help applying for Marketplace coverage
I encourage you to explore the Jensurance website to learn more about me and my services. Most people are surprised at how they can benefit from working with a broker instead of going about the task of shopping for, applying to, and enrolling in a health insurance plan on their own. However, even if you don’t want help with the actual application process or application itself, I’m still available at no cost to answer questions you may have about the Health Insurance Marketplace® application. It’s critical that you fill it out completely and accurately to prevent delays in processing and errors that can delay the effective date of your new plan.
If you need help or answers, please contact me 24/7 by phone, text, email, through social media, or through the contact page here on this site. I’ll contact you back the same day by whichever contact method you prefer. We can even do a video call if that’s better for you or set up an appointment in person if necessary. It’s all up to you and what works best for you.
Remember: guidance is available 24/7
Thank you for taking time to visit Jensurance! I hope to hear from you and to have the opportunity to help you navigate the Health Insurance Marketplace application process. Even if you already have Marketplace coverage and need help with anything, from finding providers to re enrollment to updating your information to reflect life changes, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’ll be there to help and I’ll never charge you a fee for my services.

My story and why I'm an insurance broker
I am dedicated to helping people understand and make the most of the insurance options available to them. I’ve had chronic autoimmune diseases since my 20s and was intimidated by insurance coverage. I didn't get how it worked, and resented being excluded due to my health issues. Thankfully, the Affordable Care Act protected people like me with pre-existing conditions and provided financial assistance. This made coverage accessible to many who were previously excluded due to finances or circumstances. The health insurance Marketplace has profoundly benefited me, so I want to share my experience to help others take full advantage too.
Common Issues After Enrollment
Another perk of working with a broker is that your broker will let you know well ahead of any deadlines that put you at risk of losing your coverage! (Plus, you know who to call for a quick answer when things like this come up.)
What do I do if I missed open enrollment for the Marketplace?
You should check if you qualify for a "Special Enrollment Period" (SEP) which allows you to enroll in a plan outside of the regular open enrollment window if you've experienced a qualifying life event like getting married, having a baby, losing a job, or moving to a new area. Verify your eligibility on HealthCare.gov or by contacting the Marketplace Call Center.
What if I enrolled through the marketplace but I don't remember when I'm supposed to pay my first premium?
The best course of action is to contact your insurance company directly to get the exact payment due date and details on how to make your payment. You can also access your account on HealthCare.gov to find this information, or call the Marketplace Call Center at 1-800-318-2596.
What happens if I'm late paying my insurance premium for my Marketplace plan?
Your insurance company may terminate your coverage after a grace period. The grace period is usually three months if you have a Marketplace plan, use the premium tax credit, and have paid at least one full month's premium during the benefit year. If you don't receive the premium tax credit, the grace period is determined by state rules.
What do I do if I lose my job after getting a premium tax credit from the Marketplace?
Notifying the Marketplace about changes in circumstances as soon as they occur will allow the Marketplace to update the information used to determine your expected amount of the Premium Tax Credit and adjust your advance payment amount. This adjustment will decrease the likelihood of a significant difference between your advance credit payments and your actual Premium Tax Credit.
